Fraud and Scam Warning

Sunshine Hydro is aware that scammers may misuse company names, logos, employee names, job advertisements or recruitment messages to target members of the public. Please read the following information carefully before responding to any job offer, visa offer, training request, onboarding message or payment request claiming to be from Sunshine Hydro.

Important: Sunshine Hydro does not request payments for jobs, visas, training, equipment or onboarding. If you receive a payment request claiming to be from Sunshine Hydro, do not pay and contact verify@sunshinehydro.com.

Sunshine Hydro does not request payments

Sunshine Hydro does not request payments from job applicants, workers or members of the public for:

  • Jobs or employment offers
  • Visa applications or migration support
  • Training
  • Equipment
  • Onboarding
  • Uniforms
  • Background checks
  • Recruitment processing fees

 

Any message asking you to pay money for a Sunshine Hydro job, visa, training, equipment or onboarding process should be treated as suspicious.

Official Sunshine Hydro communications

Official Sunshine Hydro communications only come from authorised Sunshine Hydro domains.

Authorised domains include:

  • sunshinehydro.com.au

Official Sunshine Hydro email addresses use formats such as:

  • name@sunshinehydro.com
  • name@sunshinehydro.com.au

Be cautious of messages sent from free email services, lookalike domains, messaging apps or domains that are slightly different from Sunshine Hydro’s official domains.

Employment offers

Sunshine Hydro employment offers are only valid after a formal recruitment process. This may include interviews, direct communication with authorised Sunshine Hydro representatives, reference checks and signed documentation.

Sunshine Hydro does not make valid employment offers only by text message, social media message, WhatsApp, Telegram or similar messaging platforms.

Report suspected scams

If you believe you have been contacted by a scammer claiming to represent Sunshine Hydro:

  • Do not send money

  • Do not click suspicious links
  • Keep screenshots and copies of messages
  • Report the scam to the relevant authorities in your country
